| recap - Karen Watson/Kay Tate
Ladies Ride
Fifteen riders, including three from the South West Montana Chapter of the OPRC, set off on the Karen Watson/Kay Tate annual Ladies Ride in the Judith Basin area. Actually, for the last 15 or so years, this has been a Kay Tate one woman extravaganza, with assistance from Bonnie Hammer; but this year Kay decided to shift the load a bit, and Karen magnanimously stepped into the breach. We had a ball, what with campfire jokes and songs, skinny dipping, crossing the Yugo about a zillion times, sliding on the mud rock (it's like swimming with your horse, but with less control --- actually we all decided we'd just as soon pass up the opportunity to do the "mud rock shuffle" again), dodging marble-sized hail stones, checking out some pictographs and a modest cave, we came away refreshed and exuberant. |
